The German Federal Statistical Office has published a flash report on the level of tourism prices in some tourist destinations in purchasing power parity terms. According to this, if we take the runaway German price level due to inflation and energy costs as 100, only a few sporadic destinations proved to be more expensive, such as the Seychelles, by 5%. In Europe, Italy is also the most expensive location, 3% cheaper than Germany. Spain is 17%, Cyprus 19%, Greece 21%, Croatia 24%, Malta and Portugal 30% cheaper than Germany in terms of hospitality and accommodation services. Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, and Albania cost about half as much as Germany. Hungary was unfortunately not included in the flash report. Outside Europe, Turkey and the Maldives are 64% cheaper, Mauritius 49%, Dominica and Mexico 55%, Tunisia 29%.
