OECD Workshop took place in Vienna on 6-7 June, where our Secretary General participated as a delegate of MGYOSZ.  The Workshop was based around the theme of organising and strengthening tourist destinations. The presentations focused on cooperation between governments and within destinations, as sustainability and resilience issues can be addressed most efficiently at the destination level, involving stakeholders and local communities. In addition, good practices and strategies from different participating countries were presented and their application to, among other things, tourism management and the protection of natural landscapes. The latest OECD publication on tourism trends will be published in the first two weeks of July.
