The EU and the social partners sign the “Tripartite Declaration for Thriving European Social Dialogue” in Val Duchesse. The declaration aims to strengthen social dialogue and jointly address economic challenges, including promoting quality jobs and managing labour and skills shortages. The EU and the social partners committed to an effective social dialogue and agreed on an action plan to tackle labour and skills shortages. They will also establish a European Social Dialogue Envoy and launch a European Social Dialogue Pact. The social partners have an important role to play in strengthening the competitiveness of the European economy and responding to climate change, while ensuring equity and inclusion in the labour market.
